Heavy-duty copper tube continuous casting and rolling process key production equipment

The main equipment of the heavy-duty brass continuous casting and rolling production line includes three sets of milling units, three-roller planetary rolling mill unit, and joint drawing unit, which have the advantages of short process flow, high product rate, and high degree of automation. This product is a key new product of Guangdong Province, the National Torch Plan Project and won the first prize of Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. It was identified by experts from Guangdong Science and Technology Department as its technology has reached the international advanced level. The product currently has 2 invention patents and nearly 10 utility model patents.
 
First, the process introduced
 
After the horizontal continuous casting equipment is equipped with a set of milling equipment, a radially stepless adjustable milling method is adopted, and the entire outer surface of the tube blank can be finished by axial feed. The milling depth is 0.3-1.0mm and the milling speed is ≥1.2m/min.
 
After the pipe blank has been milled, it enters the planetary rolling mill unit. The three-roll planetary rolling mill is a continuous large-deformation metal forming machine. The cross-section deformation of one rolling pass can reach more than 90%. For a Φ90×25 cast steel billet, the finished product specification after rolling is ≤ Φ50×2.5. The rapid and large deformation rolling increases the temperature of the material enough for dynamic recrystallization to improve the casting structure. The rolled billet is softened by rapid cooling, facilitating the next step of the drawing process.
 
After the three-roll planetary rolling mill is equipped with a joint drawing unit, the rolled copper pipe is continuously stretched and deformed, and the series pulling speed of the double pulling unit is 0 to 60 to 80 m/min. Increasing the hardness of the copper tube by reducing the diameter and reducing the wall continuously creates favorable conditions for the next step of the pulling process. After the drawing of the double puller, the finished copper product specifications ≤ Φ33×1.5.

        In 2002, it designed and developed the first copper pipe continuous casting and rolling line for Foshan Jingyi Wanxi Copper Co., Ltd., which was put into operation in 2003. This production line was the first in China.
 
        In 2003, the second production line copper tube continuous casting and rolling line was designed and put into production for Foshan Jingyi Wanxi Copper Co., Ltd. In March 2003, it signed a mill production line for the key production line of copper pipe production lines with Guangdong Jingyi Metal Co., Ltd., which was accepted in August 2003.
 
        In 2004, it designed and developed large copper heavy-duty continuous casting and rolling line equipment for Ningbo Jintian Copper.
 
        In 2004, it signed a key production line for brass casting with Foshan Huahong Copper Tube Co., Ltd.
 
        In 2005, our company and Zhejiang Nile Copper Co., Ltd. signed the XG90 Planetary Rolling Mill and XP90 Copper Milling Unit for the key production line of heavy-duty brass continuous casting and rolling.
 
        In November 2005, the key production equipment for the continuous casting and rolling of copper tubes was designed for the Norota Otto Copper (Zhongshan) Co., Ltd.: Milling, rolling, and pulling units.
 
        In 2006, it signed a key production line for heavy-duty continuous casting and rolling with Fujian Jinyi Copper Co., Ltd.: XP90 copper pipe milled leather unit and XG90 planetary rolling mill unit.
 
        In 2008, we signed the key production line equipment for heavy-duty continuous casting and rolling with Shanghai Hailiang Copper Co., Ltd.: XP-90 brass milled leather unit and XG-90 three-roller planetary mill unit.
 
        In 2008, Zhejiang Hailiang Co., Ltd. signed a key production line for heavy-duty continuous casting and rolling: the XP-90 brass milled leather unit and the XG-90 three-roller planetary mill unit.

        In 2011, it signed key production line equipment for heavy-duty copper tube continuous casting and rolling with Jiangsu Cuilong Precision Copper Pipe Co., Ltd.: XP-100 straightening-milling machine unit, XG-100 three-roller planetary rolling mill unit, LHB 15-12 -10 Cam Triple Pulling Unit, LHB-8 Continuous Drawing Fixed Length Unit, LHB-6 Continuous Drawing Fixed Length Unit.
 
        In 2012, the company designed and developed a copper tube continuous casting and rolling line for Zhejiang Good House Copper Industry Co., Ltd.
